1819 supermovt

Since National day is approaching, this site is quite relevant. Ever heard of the 1819 supermovement? It's a really interesting underground project by S'poreans, who come up wif creative ideas to express e S'pore identity, as well as showcase our talents to e rest of e world. One of the mediums is stickers. Check out e Majulah Stickapura series at their site! Also, I didn't know how many creative pple & stuff S'pore actually has until i visited e site. lots of links to many S'pore sites too. e site is http://www.1819supermovement.com

some xiao ding dong

just yesterday morning, my house phone rang. My mum picked up e phone and suddenly called out for me to take the call.
befuddled as to who could possibly call me so early, i took over the phone n heard a woman rambling away. the word"jail" kept coming out. I could only make out one sentence:''I am going to jail because of u."
YES u read that correctly.
Wat u are feeling now is probably wat i felt then. I started saying 'hello' several times, thinking mayb i just heard wrongly. For a moment there I was so caught aback i seriously reflected whether any of my past actions could have landed anybody in jail. The crazy woman just repeated the offending statement again, before resuming her ramblings.
Then she stopped and said," I'm going to call again." And hung up. (!!!)
WHAT THE ?@#**#!!
Now i believe my mum. She was saying the other day that there are quite afew xiao ding dong people around lately. Lets see if this woman would call again. I'ld be better prepared next time round!

computing nightmare~~HELP

As your dear author types, she can feel life being slowly sucked away from her. HELPPP~~!
I am stuck in the nightmare of computing.
data, data...and more data!
spreadsheets and even more spreadsheets!!
function after function and technical jargon i dont understand.
The lecturer has a great deal of confidence in the class, though. Zipped through everything.
I have just barely survived my first computing lesson but feel sooo dead. sighhh~wonder how others are spending their holidays now?

MONEY MONEY MONEY~I WANT MONEY~ITS A RICH MAN'S WORLD!!!

It's very depressing to be broke at this time of the year. Sales everywhere...and I cant buy anything~~Noooooooooo~
However, watching the drones of people swarming around discount corners and the departmental stores, some sort of realisation suddenly dawned on me. The way I spend my money.
I work mindlessly, looking forward to my leisure time on weekends. Singaporeans' favourite hobby---shop. So, unwittingly, I get drawn into this vicious cycle- I work to earn, I immediately spend my money on nice stuff (some which never see the light of day once abandoned in some dusty corner of some drawer) , and I have to work to earn it all back again. Its like one big void u think u need to fill to feel better, but u never do. How pointless! Its so easy to get caught up into this sort of meaningless existence. To buy and buy and buy, but not creating anything, doing anything.
Do I really shop for leisure? Or maybe its just because Im befuddled as to what else I can do with my money. Maybe its time to think how to better spend my time, and my life. Looks like my savings are going to increase!

relax relax~~

have been procastinating on my first entry so much tat some pple are getting quite impatient. all right then, here it is........hmm..........erm.......................
the problem with writing an online diary is :what can be posted? Should I just blabber on about my daily routine(which is quite interesting, u know, in a way.hahaha~) ? Or maybe only post when I have grand theories on Life, Philosophy or World Affairs and such? Sigh... these decisions are difficult.
But hey, writing a blog is supposed to be a leisure activity right? So maybe I'll just describe what sort of a person I am. Yes, yes, I love myself a little too much. The following quote gives quite a good idea of me:
"Heaven, such as it is, is right here on earth. Behold: my revelation: I stand at the door in the morning, and lo, there is a newspaper, in sight like unto an emerald. And holy, holy, holy is the coffee, which was, and is, and is to come. And hark, I hear the voice of an angel round about the radio, saying," Since my baby left me I found a new place to dwell." And lo, after this I beheld a great multitude, which no man could number, of shoes. And after all these things I will hasten unto a taxicab and to a theater, where a ticket will be given unto me, and lo, it will be a martinee, and a film that doeth great wonders. And when it is finished, the heavens will open, and out will cometh a rain as fragrant as myrrh, and yea, I have an umbrella."
By the way, this quote is from a very humorous book full of original observations, "Take the Cannoli". I can't remember the author's name.
